Fabio and Maria Trabocchi are opening a Van Ness restaurant devoted to pasta

Fabio and Maria Trabocchi's restaurant group is adding a new addition in the District.

The married restaurateurs -- he the chef, she a little bit of everything -- plan to open Sfoglina in Van Ness in the fall of 2016, adding to a lineup that already includes Fiola, Fiola Mare and Casa Luca. In Italian, a sfoglina is a woman who makes pasta, often by hand with a wooden board and rolling pin. So, as you might have guessed, pasta will be the restaurant's specialty.
